Ok I know that was fast but we are fast . I’m
happy to say we have Firefox 3.5 beta4 ready for
testing in the Portstree. Also we fixed the plugin
load problem. Thanks to all Testers of the previous
version.

The KDE Team is happy to announce the first public Call for Testing
with QT-4.5.1. Recently, we focused on the complex and very time
consuming task of getting the QT4.5 ports into much better shape
so we can now go on the next step: much wider public testing.

At the moment we would actually benefit from wider testing of the
well prepared QT 4.5.1 FreeBSD builds. this will give us a better
opportunity and more time to identify and eventually correct FreeBSD
specific problems.

I’ve cc’ed all Maintainers of ports that use QT-4, asking them to
test QT4.5 with their maintained applications to make sure they
build and work without problems. If you need help to fix your port
please let us know, we are willing to help you to get this solved.

After some work we got now Firefox 3.1 BETA 3 ready
for the portstree. Today i’ve committed now the
update. I’d like to call here for testing to get
a bit feedback. You can find the port

A few days ago I took over the maintainership of the FreeBSD Gecko stuff
from Gnome. I’d like to let everybody now that we created a new mailing list
freebsd-gecko@ [1] for discussion and tech talk.

I also plan to change the maintainership to gecko@ so that anyone can help
to get the FreeBSD gecko stuff into better shape. It is too much to work on
alone, so if you are interested in helping us you are very welcome to join.

We’re happy to announce that KDE-4.2.2 is now available in
the FreeBSD ports tree. KDE-4.2.2 is only a Bugfix release.
